The overall character is layered but controlled, shifting between fresh green air and deeper forest woods in a smooth, continuous flow. 

History / Lineage:
Suifu Gokuhin is part of Yamadamatsu’s Premium incense range from Kyoto, a house founded in the Edo period known for its mastery of kōboku (aromatic woods) such as sandalwood and aloeswood. The Premium series elevates traditional blending by using higher-grade woods and refined herbal layering to create more depth and clarity within each composition. 

Meaning behind the Name:
“Suifu” (翠風) means “jade green wind,” evoking a fresh breeze through green forest landscapes. “Gokuhin” (極品) means “superior grade,” indicating a higher-quality interpretation with enhanced depth, clarity, and refinement.
